Specifically, a Facebook post alleged that Taylor Farms donated $1 million to a PAC tied to Trump. Donor records confirm that Taylor Fresh Foods Inc., the parent company of Taylor Farms de Mexico, donated $1 million to the pro-Trump super PAC MAGA Inc. on March 26, 2025. This donation occurred six days before the FDA announced a 30-month delay in enforcing the Food Traceability Rule, a measure requiring enhanced recordkeeping for certain food manufacturers. Social media users linked the donation to this delay, implying a quid pro quo. However, both Taylor Farms and the White House have strongly refuted these allegations. A spokesperson for Taylor Fresh Foods stated that the company adheres to food safety standards, even ahead of the updated compliance deadline for the Food Traceability Rule. White House spokesperson Kush Desai asserted that the administration prioritizes American health and safety, and that the FDA's decisions are guided solely by science and the safety of the American people. The official Health and Human Services 'rapid response' X account also stated on July 20 that "Nothing influences our decisions except science and the safety of the American people." Taylor Fresh Foods Inc. also made other political donations in 2025, including $100,000 to the conservative super PAC More Jobs, Less Government on June 13, and $1 million to another Republican super PAC.
