Fadhl Muhammad Firdaus Leads Matahari Pagi Indonesia in Yogyakarta, Promises Collaborative Action with Real Impact

Fadhl Muhammad Firdaus has taken charge of Matahari Pagi Indonesia in Yogyakarta with a pledge to turn the organization into a source of ideas, movements and practical solutions for society.

He was inaugurated as the organization’s chair on Friday night, Sept. 4, 2026, at Pendopo Parasamya in Sleman, Yogyakarta. In a statement the following day, Firdaus explained the meaning behind the group’s name. “The morning sun is a symbol of hope,” he said, describing it as a light that follows the darkness of night.

That symbolism, he said, should guide the organization’s work. Matahari Pagi Indonesia should bring light through ideas, action and solutions to problems in society. Its struggle should not focus only on its name, positions or institutional existence. Firdaus instead called for sincerity in service, courage to act and consistency in delivering benefits.

To pursue that goal, he outlined four priorities for the Yogyakarta branch: strengthening service and social concern, developing young people with character and integrity, building an open and adaptable organization, and maintaining unity through collective strength.

Firdaus acknowledged that the organization’s path would not always be easy. Differences of opinion and internal dynamics, he said, would need to be faced together. “As long as we share the same goal and are guided by good intentions, we can face every challenge together,” he said.
