Families wait for DNA results to bring flood victims home

For three days, Anil Yadav of Bhairahawa has barely put down his phone. The screen carries a photograph of a dead body, which he repeatedly shows to people around him.

“This is my person,” Yadav tells them. He says he identified the body as that of his relative.

Families are now waiting for DNA results to confirm the identities of those killed in the floods before they can bring their loved ones home.
