Family feud in Istanbul's Pendik turns violent, leaving 12 injured

A violent clash erupted between two relatives in Istanbul's Pendik district, leaving 12 people injured and one in critical condition. The conflict, which began as a dispute over children, quickly escalated into a physical fight involving weapons including sticks, knives, and firearms.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene on Cemil Meriç Street in Kavakpınar neighborhood following reports of the brawl. The injured individuals, identified as A.Ş., B.Ş., M.Ş., F.S., E.T., N.Ş., T.Y., S.Y., M.Y., H.Y., R.Y., and M.Ş., received initial medical attention before being transported to hospitals for further treatment. The condition of S.Y. is reported as life-threatening.

Police investigations at the scene revealed that a parked vehicle sustained multiple bullet impacts during the fight. Seven shell casings were discovered in the street where the altercation occurred. Law enforcement quickly apprehended five suspects: Y.Ş., M.Ş., K.Ş., K.Ş., and A.S. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
