Family home destroyed by fire in Ivanovec; 18-year-old arrested

A family home in Ivanovec, Croatia, suffered extensive damage after a fire broke out in the evening. The interior of the house, located on Ulica Josipa Slavenskog and owned by a 51-year-old man, was completely destroyed by the blaze. Firefighters from Čakovec, Gornji Vidovec, and Ivanovec worked to extinguish the flames.

Fortunately, no occupants were inside the house at the time the fire started. While significant material damage occurred, there were no reported injuries. The scene has been secured, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire and other relevant circumstances.

Following the incident, police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of endangering life and property through generally dangerous actions or means, as well as making threats. The suspect was taken to the Čakovec police station, and criminal investigations are ongoing.
