Family of Three Killed in Drug-Fueled Crash While En Route to School

A tragic accident in Hulu Langat, Malaysia, claimed the lives of a father, mother, and their three-year-old child. The family was on their morning routine, heading to drop off their youngest child at kindergarten and the wife at her nasi kukus business, when their motorcycle was struck by a car. The collision occurred on Jalan Batu 17, Hulu Langat.

The father, Rahmat Topani, 65, learned of the devastating news from a friend and rushed to the scene. He recounted that his son, Hafifi Rahman Rahmat, 34, had already taken his two other sons to school before the fatal incident. The family was traveling to Nanding when the car allegedly veered into their lane.

Authorities reported that the 42-year-old male driver of the car tested positive for methamphetamine. He also has previous drug-related records. The case is being investigated under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

The three victims, Hafifi Rahman Rahmat, 34; his wife Nik Aishah Asilan Nik Mohd Zamzuri, 32; and their three-year-old son Muhammad Rafie Hanzal, were pronounced dead at the scene. They were laid to rest at the Kampung Jawa Muslim Cemetery in Hulu Langat on Wednesday.
