Famous Actor Found Dead at 51 After Days Without Contact

Turkish actor Serhat Mustafa Kilic has been found dead in his home in Istanbul at the age of 51, after his partner spent days trying unsuccessfully to reach him.

Kilic’s partner eventually went to his apartment in the Nurtepe neighborhood when he did not answer calls or open the door. She entered the residence and found him without signs of life in the living room. Police officers and medical workers quickly arrived, but doctors could only confirm his death.

The actor’s exact cause of death remains unknown. Authorities launched an investigation immediately after the body was discovered to establish what happened. Some Turkish media reports said a preliminary examination allegedly found bruising around the eyes and on the limbs, but there has been no official confirmation that those injuries were connected to his death. Further details are expected after the autopsy and other forensic examinations.

Born in Ankara on July 8, 1975, Kilic studied acting at Bilkent University and built a career in television, film and theater. Viewers knew him for roles in series including Ezel, Seksenler, Söz and Kuruluş: Osman. His film credits included Veda, Winter Sleep, Nokta and Mavzer.
