Fan Conflict Near Bucharest Metro Station Before Rapid-Dinamo Match

Tensions flared on Saturday evening as a clash broke out between rival football supporters near the Basarab metro station in Bucharest. The incident occurred as away fans were making their way to the stadium for the highly anticipated Rapid vs. Dinamo match.

Gendarmerie units, present as part of the security deployment, quickly intervened to quell the disturbance and re-establish public order. According to the Bucharest Gendarmerie, the conflict was resolved swiftly, allowing supporters to continue their journey to the stadium without further incident.

Following the altercation, one supporter of the away team was escorted to a police station. Authorities stated this action was taken to clarify the facts of the situation and to implement any necessary legal measures.
