Farmer beaten in Osh: Three detained, one under house arrest

Authorities in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, have initiated a criminal investigation following a violent altercation between traders and a farmer. The case, classified under "Hooliganism," stems from an incident where a farmer was assaulted while attempting to sell strawberries.

Four people have been detained in connection with the conflict. Three suspects have been remanded in a temporary detention facility, while a fourth individual was placed under house arrest due to having underage children. The police are continuing their investigation to establish all the facts surrounding the event.

The incident gained public attention after a video circulated on social media showing a group of women pushing and beating the farmer. Following the public outcry, the mayor of Osh, Жанарбек Акаев, met with the victim and arranged for him to have a selling spot at the new market.
