Kadir, 43, was injured in the jaw by a gunshot while attempting to track down stolen cows in the Kemahang palm oil plantation. The incident, which occurred around 2:30 AM, saw the victim and his companions confronted by an estimated five individuals, believed to be a mix of local and Thai nationals.

Based on the report from the complainant, who is a 35-year-old salesman, the victim and his friends were patrolling the plantation area around 1:30 AM to track down suspects in a cattle theft case.

The suspects reportedly opened fire at close range, striking Mohd. Khairul Amri and then fleeing the scene with his Honda EX5 motorcycle. This brazen act of violence underscores the escalating boldness of criminal elements operating in the region, posing a significant threat to those who dare to stand against them.
