Father in Karawang arrested for allegedly raping 3-year-old daughter

A father in Karawang, West Java, has been arrested for allegedly raping his 3-year-old daughter, in a case that has shocked the local community.

The suspect, identified as J (37), is accused of sexually assaulting his young child. The horrifying abuse reportedly came to light on June 5, 2026, when the victim's family became concerned about her unusual behavior. The child complained of pain when walking and sitting, and the family discovered a discharge on her body.

Following these disturbing signs, the child was taken for a medical examination. Initial findings strongly indicated sexual violence. The victim's older sibling immediately reported the incident to the Karawang Police.

Karawang Police Chief AKBP Fiki N Ardiansyah, through Head of Public Relations Ipda Cep Wildan, confirmed that investigators from the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA and PPO) had launched a probe. They interviewed the victim and witnesses, and gathered evidence. The child is currently under legal, social, and psychological protection.
