Febrie Adriansyah Named Suspect in Asabri Corruption Case

Febrie Adriansyah, formerly the Deputy Attorney General for Specific Crimes (Jampidsus), has been named a suspect in the corruption and money laundering case involving PT Asabri. The announcement was made by Head of the Legal Information Center, Anang Supriatna.

Supriatna stated that Adriansyah's suspect status is based on an investigation order from the National Police's Corruption Eradication Corps for the TPPU (money laundering) and PT Asabri case. Lawyer Don Ritto is also implicated as a suspect in the Asabri case.

However, two other cases, one concerning alleged corruption in settling the debt of a PT Krakatau Steel subsidiary and another involving a PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) power plant project, are still in the general investigation phase. Police handed over the investigations for these three cases to the prosecutor's office on July 11, 2026.

On July 17, 2026, investigators from the Corruption Eradication Task Force and the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police transferred evidence for these three cases to the prosecutor's office. Among the items delivered were eight suitcases, a safe, and two medium-sized containers, with one suitcase reportedly containing 49 gold bars weighing 1 kg each and another containing 25 gold bars of 1 kg each. Febrie Adriansyah was reportedly examined for the first time on this day, accompanied by his lawyer, Hotman Paris Hutapea.
