Fenerbahçe announces signing of Shane Larkin

Turkish basketball club Fenerbahçe has announced the signing of American-Turkish point guard Shane Larkin for the next two seasons. Larkin arrives from Istanbul rival Anadolu Efes, where he spent eight seasons and secured two EuroLeague titles.

At 33 years old, Larkin's move to Fenerbahçe extends his career in both European elite basketball and Turkish basketball. Fenerbahçe confirmed the agreement on its official X account, stating they have reached a two-year deal with the Turkish-born American point guard.

Despite injuries limiting him to twelve EuroLeague games last season, Larkin averaged 15.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in the competition for Anadolu Efes. The team finished second-to-last in the regular season with a 12-26 record.

Larkin ranks as the tenth highest scorer and fourteenth best assist provider in EuroLeague history. Domestically with Efes, he won three Turkish League titles, one Turkish Cup, and four Turkish Super Cups. Prior to his time in Istanbul, Larkin played in the NBA for the Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks, and Brooklyn Nets, and in the Spanish ACB league for Baskonia, where he was named to the league's best quintet.
