Fenerbahçe Basketball Achieves Million-Euro Profit, Exceeding Projections

Fenerbahçe's basketball operations have delivered a strong financial performance, reporting a profit of nearly 40 million euros in revenue against approximately 36.2 million euros in expenses for the 2025-2026 season. This resulted in a net surplus of about 3.8 million euros for the Istanbul club's basketball division, according to Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoğlu.

This outcome stands in stark contrast to the club's initial projections. Before the season began, Fenerbahçe's management anticipated revenues of around 28.8 million euros and expenses of approximately 34.5 million euros, which would have led to a projected loss of about 5.7 million euros. Despite actual expenses exceeding the planned amount by roughly 1.6 million euros, Fenerbahçe's revenues surpassed expectations by over 11 million euros.

This considerable revenue increase not only eliminated the projected deficit but also allowed the club to conclude the year with a substantial profit. The team, under the guidance of coach Šarūnas Jasikevičius, had a successful season on the court, winning the Turkish Championship, the Turkish Cup, and the President's Cup. They also reached the EuroLeague Final Four, although they were unable to defend their championship title from 2025.

Looking ahead, Fenerbahçe is expected to operate with an even larger budget of approximately 45 million euros for the upcoming season. The club also recently added Lithuanian national team guard Ignas Sargiūnas to its roster this summer.
