Fenerbahçe, Viking, AEK, and Slovan Bratislava Complete Champions League League Phase Field

The final four spots for the Champions League league phase have been claimed, with Fenerbahçe, Viking, AEK, and Slovan Bratislava successfully navigating their playoff matches. These teams will join the 32 clubs already qualified, completing the field of 36 participants for the expanded league stage of Europe's premier club competition.

Fenerbahçe marked a significant return to the Champions League after a 17-year hiatus. The Turkish club defeated Olympique Lyon 3-2 on aggregate, securing their place despite a 1-1 draw in the first leg. This marks their first appearance in the competition since the 2008-2009 season.

Norwegian club Viking will make their debut in the Champions League after a dramatic playoff victory over Dinamo Zagreb. Following a 2-2 draw in the first leg, Viking secured a 5-3 aggregate win, with key goals from Zlatko Tripić and a penalty, ensuring their historic entry into the tournament.

Greek side AEK Athens eliminated Levski Sofia with a commanding 4-0 victory in the second leg, after a goalless draw in their opening match. Goals from Luka Jović, Răzvan Marin, and a brace from Barnabás Varga sealed their progression.

Slovan Bratislava secured the final berth in extra time against Celje. After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, the match remained tied in regular time. Cristian Martínez's goal in the 100th minute secured the Slovakian club's passage to the Champions League league phase.
