Fernández W. views his departure as stepping down from a political position, having supported a political candidate. He emphasized the unconditional respect and independence he received from the President of the Republic, expressing gratitude for this support. He believes his successor, chosen by President Luis Abinader, will value the existing team and work plan, ensuring continuity.

Looking ahead, Fernández W. is considering a return to Argentarium, his financial advisory platform, but acknowledges the need for prudence given his recent public service role. He also expressed a strong passion for education, planning to pursue a master's degree in higher education administration. He aims to contribute to the much-needed transformation within the university system, drawing on his long-standing concern about the quality of higher education in the country.
