Ferran Torres joins PSG on contract until 2031

Paris Saint-Germain has officially announced the signing of Spanish forward Ferran Torres, securing the World Cup winner on a contract that extends until 2031. The French champions confirmed the transfer on their official website, announcing that Torres will wear the number nine jersey.

Torres, born in Foios, Spain, began his football journey in futsal before joining Valencia CF's academy at age seven. He made history in December 2017 as the first player born in the 21st century to play in La Liga. During his three seasons with Valencia, he made 97 appearances, setting age-related records, including becoming the youngest player in the club's history to reach 50 league matches and the first 21st-century born player to score in the Champions League for a Spanish club.

His career includes a Copa del Rey win with Valencia in 2019. He then moved to Manchester City in 2020, playing under Pep Guardiola. At City, he scored 16 goals in 43 appearances, contributing to their Premier League and League Cup victories and reaching the Champions League final in 2021. He later joined Barcelona, where he was described as an important attacking member, scoring 65 goals in 207 matches and winning three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, and two Spanish Super Cups.

Internationally, Torres has earned 65 caps for Spain, winning the European Under-17 Championship in 2017 and the Under-19 Championship in 2019.
