Festival Rakyat Nusantara 2026 Concludes in Bandung, Boosting Local Economy and Community Spirit

The Festival Rakyat Nusantara 2026 has officially closed its doors in Bandung, Indonesia, concluding a vibrant 10-day event held at the Serka Dedy Unadi Field, Kodam III/Siliwangi. The festival, which ran until Sunday, July 19, 2026, was designed to stimulate the growth of local businesses and create a space for community togetherness.

Through a blend of entertainment, sports, culinary offerings, and creative economy initiatives, the festival provided a platform for both economic development and social cohesion. Pangdam III/Siliwangi, Major General TNI Kosasih, expressed his aspirations for the festival's future, stating, "In the future, hopefully, it can grow bigger and the UMKM that participate will also increase."

Major General Kosasih also extended congratulations to the winners of the painting competition and the U-12 football tournament, which were integral parts of the festival's program. He remarked, "Hopefully, this activity can improve the achievements of our younger siblings, both in their drawing and football, so that in the future it can produce national footballers."

The closing ceremony marked the end of ten days filled with various activities for the community. These included a bazaar featuring micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM), entertainment, sports, and educational events. The festival served as a venue to strengthen community bonds and promote local economic growth.

West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan lauded the collaborative effort between Kodam III/Siliwangi, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), and TVRI West Java in organizing the festival. He noted the participation of dozens of UMKM and stressed the importance of their continuous involvement in various West Java activities, beyond just ceremonial events.
