Festive racing at Paraguay's Jockey Club with classic and special events

The Jockey Club of Paraguay held its 15th race meeting this Sunday, offering a spectacular day of racing for enthusiasts with a lineup of classic and special events. The Asunción Hipodrome was the venue for a day filled with excitement and competition.

Highlighting the day were the prestigious "Guineas" races for three-year-old horses. In the "1,000 Guineas" for fillies, Four White Legs from stud Kika, ridden by Juan Figueredo, claimed victory over 1,400 meters with a time of 1'33"08. The "2,000 Guineas" for colts saw El Libertador, from stud 8 Años and expertly ridden by Juanchi Figueredo, win over the same distance in 1'31"30.

Further adding to the festivities were special races. The "Homenaje al Dr. Justo Honorio Grau" race over 1,200 meters was won by Qué Pingo, owned by Dr. Grau himself and ridden by Juan Román in 1'15"55. The "Día de la Amistad" prize for 1,800 meters went to Sweet Prince of stud 8 Años, with Marco Meza in the saddle, finishing in 2'00"60.

Other races included a victory for Great Surprise from Don Rubí stable, covering a mile in 1'46". Ninja also secured a win for Don Rubí, completing a kilometer in 1'06"07. The day concluded with Sweet Dream giving stud 8 Años their third win, covering 1,300 meters in 1'22"26 under Marco Meza.
