FG plans six medical simulation centres nationwide

Nigeria’s Federal Government plans to establish six medical simulation centres across the country’s geopolitical zones, citing the need to strengthen practical training for a growing healthcare workforce.

Education Minister Tunji Alausa disclosed the plan while receiving a report from the tertiary education sector. The proposed centres are intended to provide world-class facilities for medical training.

The announcement comes as enrolment in health-related training increases. The government presented the centres as a way to improve hands-on preparation for Nigeria’s expanding healthcare workforce.
