Former US President Donald Trump reportedly tried to join the Spanish national team's celebration after their victory in the World Cup final. FIFA President Gianni Infantino seemed visibly uncomfortable and made efforts to steer Trump away from the center of the festivities.

The scene reportedly mirrored an incident during last year's Club World Cup final, where Trump lingered on the podium despite surprised looks from Chelsea players. In the recent World Cup final, Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in extra time after Argentina played with 10 men. Trump and Infantino presented the trophy to the winning captain, Rodri.

Afterward, Trump engaged in brief conversations with Rodri and other Spanish players who appeared eager to lift the trophy but hesitated while the former US president was present. Infantino appeared embarrassed, but Trump insisted on remaining near the Spanish team. He eventually stepped aside but posed for a photo at the edge of the winners' picture.

Fans reportedly booed Trump and Infantino as they entered the field for the award ceremony. This World Cup final was Trump's first, and he had previously expressed interest in the US hosting the event. Trump also made headlines during the tournament for his call to Infantino regarding a red card suspension for US forward Folarin Balogun, a decision that was reportedly reviewed.
