Filip Ingebrigtsen Open to Reconciliation with Rival Narve Gilje Nordås

Norwegian runner Filip Ingebrigtsen has expressed openness to a future reconciliation with fellow athlete Narve Gilje Nordås. The relationship between Nordås and the Ingebrigtsen brothers had been strained due to a family conflict involving their father and former coach, Gjert Ingebrigtsen. However, following Nordås's split from Gjert Ingebrigtsen in July, a potential thaw in relations has emerged.

Filip Ingebrigtsen stated that he spoke with Nordås at the Norwegian Championships in July and found the interaction pleasant. "I have never had anything against Narve," Filip told VG, emphasizing that while they haven't spoken much recently, there's no animosity. He acknowledged that rebuilding a relationship after a long period and significant changes would take time and happen gradually.

Regarding the possibility of training together again, Filip Ingebrigtsen sees no limitations, though he noted that Nordås would need to be interested as well. He suggested that first, they need to rebuild a normal relationship and maintain a good tone when together at championships. While training together is a hypothetical scenario, Filip indicated that as long as Nordås is not training with Gjert, there's nothing preventing it. Both Filip and his brother Jakob are competing in the European Championships, while Nordås is also participating.
