Finland: Man Suspected of Throwing Molotov Cocktails at Espoo Hospital Doors

Police in Espoo, Finland, are investigating a man under the age of 30 suspected of throwing two Molotov cocktails at the doors of a hospital's emergency room early Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when a bystander observed the suspect arrive in a car and hurl the incendiary devices toward the entrance.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the attack. The police statement did not specify which of Espoo's two hospitals, Jorvi or Espoo Hospital, was targeted. The case is currently being investigated as an attempted aggravated destruction of property.

The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident and is expected to be brought before a judge for detention proceedings on Tuesday. Authorities are still in the early stages of determining the motive behind the attack.
