Fintiri appoints ex-SGF Mustapha to Northern Nigeria Security Trust Fund board

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has appointed former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, to represent the state on the Board of Trustees for the Northern Nigeria Security Trust Fund. The appointment underscores the administration's dedication to bolstering the region's security framework and ensuring effective representation in critical decision-making bodies.

The Northern Nigeria Security Trust Fund was established by the Northern Governors' Forum as a sub-national initiative. Its primary objective is to complement the efforts of existing security agencies by supporting intelligence coordination, providing operational logistics, fostering inter-state collaboration, and promoting community-based security measures across the 19 northern states.

Fintiri highlighted the prevailing security challenges in Northern Nigeria, including banditry, terrorism, and kidnapping, as reasons necessitating proactive measures like the security trust fund.

The governor believes Mustapha's extensive experience will be invaluable in advancing the fund's objectives, strengthening synergy among northern states, and ensuring Adamawa State's voice is heard in the collective pursuit of a safer region.
