Fire and Rescue Department Strengthens Cooperation to Prepare for Disaster Risks

Malaysia’s Fire and Rescue Department will continue strengthening cooperation with state governments, local authorities, security agencies, industry groups and communities.

The effort is intended to build a stronger culture of fire safety and improve preparedness for disasters, said Datuk Nordin Pauzi, the department’s deputy director-general for operations.

He said public safety and well-being are not the responsibility of the fire and rescue service alone.
