Fire engulfs shops opposite Accra Central Police Station; firefighter injured

Firefighters are currently battling a significant blaze that has engulfed multiple shops directly opposite the Accra Central Police Station. The fire, which broke out on the evening of June 3rd, has destroyed property estimated to be worth tens of thousands of cedis. Personnel from the Accra City Fire Station are on the ground, with reinforcements deployed from the Ministries, Parliament, and Industrial Area Fire Stations to help contain the inferno.

During the intense firefighting operations, one firefighter sustained injuries. The coordinated response aims to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent structures, including the police station itself.
