Fire outbreak at warehouse in Kwadaso

A warehouse in Kwadaso, Anyinam, near the Pat-Doramo International School in Ghana's Ashanti Region, was engulfed in flames this afternoon, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky and causing panic among residents and students.

Personnel from several fire service stations, including Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Fire Station, the Ghana National Fire Service Regional Headquarters, and KNUST Fire Station, were immediately dispatched. They worked to contain the inferno, supported by DRIP water tankers that provided additional water to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures, including the school.

Officers from the Ghana National Fire Service have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and assess the extent of the damage. The service also issued a reminder to the public, emphasizing the importance of adhering to fire safety protocols, particularly for warehouses and commercial facilities, to prevent similar incidents.
