Fire registered in grocery store in Gustavo A. Madero; no injuries reported

A fire erupted inside a grocery store on Gran Canal del Desagüe avenue in the Nueva Atzacoalco neighborhood, located in the Gustavo A. Madero borough of Mexico City, on Monday morning. Initial reports suggest that a suspected short circuit may have sparked the blaze, leading to damage to various fixtures and merchandise within the store.

Elements from the Heroic Firefighters Corps responded promptly to the scene. They worked to control and extinguish the flames, subsequently carrying out cooling operations to prevent any potential rekindling of the fire. As a safety precaution during the emergency response, 14 individuals were evacuated from the vicinity.

Authorities confirmed that there were no reported injuries or instances of intoxication among those affected by the incident. Once the firefighting efforts concluded, the area was secured for subsequent inspections to precisely determine the origin of the fire.
