Firefighters control fire in Encarnación's Commercial Circuit

Firefighters in Encarnación successfully controlled a midday fire that erupted in a warehouse at a local business within the city's Commercial Circuit. The blaze generated considerable smoke, causing alarm among nearby merchants, but fortunately, no individuals suffered from smoke inhalation.

The affected establishment, named "El Petiso," is located on Abogada Mercedes Sandoval street and specializes in selling watches and glasses. The fire originated in its storage area. The rapid response of the Volunteer Firefighters of Encarnación was crucial in containing the fire, and they continued to cool the affected area afterward.

Given that the building houses several adjacent businesses, the fire posed a significant risk of spreading. The nature of the merchandise, primarily plastic items commonly found in bazaars, made the materials highly flammable, according to the responding teams. Despite the extensive material damage and the total loss of merchandise in the warehouse, the firefighters confirmed no injuries were reported.

The smoke from the fire dispersed over a large section of the commercial area during the incident. While the immediate danger has been averted, the material losses are substantial.
