Fireworks and music light up the Saigon River for Vietnam’s National Day

Fireworks were only one part of Saigon Marina IFC’s National Day spectacle on Sept. 2. Along the Saigon River, fireworks joined LED Matrix displays, military music and an artistic water show in a multilayered performance.

The tower projected messages including “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom,” “The country is filled with joy,” and “Vietnam’s era of national rise.” The displays, music and water choreography were presented as a continuous story about history, national pride and hopes for development.

The event was designed to turn Saigon Marina IFC from a place to watch fireworks into a broader public performance space. The project stands on the historically significant Ba Son site and is planned as a mixed-use destination with Grade A offices, retail, dining and services.

Saigon Marina IFC connects directly with Ba Son Station on Metro Line 1 and sits near a water-bus route and major city roads. It is also positioned within Vietnam’s International Financial Center ecosystem in Ho Chi Minh City, with an intended role linking businesses, financial institutions and international organizations.

The development recently received two honors at the 2026 Dot Property Vietnam Awards: Project of the Year 2026 and Best Iconic International Financial Center Destination in Vietnam 2026. The National Day program presented the site as a meeting point between Ba Son’s heritage and Vietnam’s ambitions for a modern future.
