Five Climbers Feared Dead on Mount Elbrus After Russian Storm

A severe storm on Mount Elbrus, Russia's highest peak, has led to fears that five Bosnian mountaineers have perished. The group was reportedly caught in extreme weather conditions while attempting to summit the 5,642-meter inactive volcano, located near the Russian border with Georgia.

The Russian rescue service confirmed that they have located the bodies of two of the five missing climbers. A search operation is ongoing for the remaining three individuals. In a separate operation, two other mountaineers who were also on the mountain at the time have been successfully rescued by emergency services.
