Five Killed in Road Accidents in Bogura, Habiganj

At least five individuals lost their lives and five others sustained injuries in separate road accidents across Bogura and Habiganj on Tuesday. The incidents highlight the persistent dangers on Bangladesh's roadways.

In Bogura, a tragic collision occurred on the Dhaka-Rangpur Highway when a truck, while being repaired after a punctured tire, was struck from behind by another truck. The impact killed three people, identified as Tapas Sarkar, 35, his son Tribro Sarkar, 18, and the truck driver Alamgir, 45. The deceased were in the process of fixing the vehicle when the accident happened. Two other individuals, including a mechanic, were injured and transported to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

Meanwhile, in Habiganj, a devastating head-on collision between a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and an oil tanker on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway claimed two lives and left three injured. The deceased were identified as Ripon Mia, 27, and Abul Khair, 50. The accident took place in the Bejura area of Madhabpur upazila.
