Five new additions to Cerro Porteño's roster for the Libertadores

Cerro Porteño has finalized its roster for the crucial Copa Libertadores Round of 16 tie against Palmeiras, introducing five new faces to their squad.

Coach Ariel Holan has integrated several new signings into the team for this decisive phase of the continental competition. The additions include goalkeeper Manuel Roffo, full-back Iván Ramírez, defenders Alexis Cañete and Lucas Merolla, and midfielder Ariel Gamarra.

However, the updated list also features significant omissions. Agustín Almendra, who was brought in as a star reinforcement, and Derlis Rodríguez, who returned from a loan spell, have surprisingly been left out of the Copa Libertadores squad.

The exclusion of young goalkeeper Ángel Martínez is also noted, though it is suggested this might be part of a long-term development plan for the player. To make space for the new additions, several players have been removed from the international roster, including goalkeeper Alexis Martín Arias, defender Abel Luciatti, and midfielders Gastón Giménez and Cristhian Paredes.
