Flávio Bolsonaro targets São Paulo with new strategist, questions female voter rejection

Flávio Bolsonaro is shifting his campaign strategy to focus heavily on São Paulo, aiming to use the state as a springboard for his presidential bid. The move includes hiring Duda Lima, a media strategist who previously worked on campaigns for Jair Bolsonaro and São Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes.

The campaign believes that strengthening its position in São Paulo, where Flávio Bolsonaro is reportedly leading against Lula according to Genial/Quaest polls, is crucial for broader national success. They plan to leverage the influence of Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, who is seeking re-election, and the active support of Mayor Nunes. Bolsonaro's team is organizing events in the capital's periphery with these local leaders.

During a meeting with São Paulo city councilors, Bolsonaro attacked the Lula administration, questioning its policies on drug use and accusing it of "vengeful" resource allocation. He specifically criticized the federal government for allegedly withholding funds from the state and municipality due to political differences with the governor.

The campaign's relocation to São Paulo earlier this month also aims to connect Bolsonaro with market figures who have shown resistance to his candidacy and to facilitate his travel to other key states like Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and Paraná.
