Football giant AC Milan hosts world children's camp in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, a city renowned for its beauty, transformed into a global football hub for young aspiring players this week. The historic Gospin Field became the stage for a unique AC Milan football camp, bringing together 170 children from across the globe.

The camp offered more than just football drills; it immersed participants in the philosophy of one of the world's most iconic clubs. Children learned from UEFA-licensed coaches employing AC Milan's celebrated "Rossoneri" methodology. This event showcased Croatia's potential to merge elite sports with international appeal and its unique Mediterranean setting, providing a fertile ground for children's dreams.

The camp's coaching staff, comprised of AC Milan's professional trainers with extensive experience in international summer camps, prioritized fun while focusing on skill development. While the camp's primary goal was not player selection for AC Milan, exceptional talent was noted. Eleven-year-old Ben Đikić from Düsseldorf impressed coaches and even caught the attention of the Croatian Football Federation's scouting system. Ben received a special prize: an AC Milan jersey signed by Luka Modrić. The event also leveraged the symbolic connection between AC Milan's arrival in Modrić's homeland, linking the club's excellence, Dubrovnik's prestige, and Modrić's inspirational journey.
