Football stars Yamal, Haaland hit record 220 million euro valuations after 2026 World Cup

The global football transfer market has seen a new record set, with the values of Lamine Yamal of Spain and Erling Haaland of Norway soaring to 220 million euros each following the 2026 World Cup. This significant increase of 20 million euros for each player places them at the pinnacle of football's most valuable assets, surpassing Kylian Mbappé, who is valued at 200 million euros.

The tournament also saw other players cross the 100 million euro mark. Spain's Pau Cubarsí and Argentina's Enzo Fernández, along with England's Elliot Anderson and Morgan Rogers, are now all valued at 110 million euros. Anderson saw the largest individual increase, gaining 35 million euros in value after the World Cup, followed by his compatriots Jude Bellingham and Morocco's Ayub Bouaddi, who each gained 30 million euros.

Spain emerged victorious in the 2026 World Cup, defeating Argentina in a closely contested final. The match remained goalless through regular time and the first period of extra time, with the decisive goal coming in the second extra-time period from Barcelona's 26-year-old forward Ferran Torres.
