Kyrgyzstan Football Academy Buys $26,500 GPS Trackers for Player Analysis

Kyrgyzstan's National Football Academy has upgraded its training capabilities with the acquisition of modern sports analytics devices, including GPS trackers, costing $26,500. Funded through FIFA's Talent Development Scheme, the StatSports Apex system is designed to elevate the quality of training and player monitoring.

This advanced technology allows coaches and medical staff to track more than 50 performance indicators for each player in real-time. Metrics such as distance covered, speed, accelerations, and the frequency and intensity of stops will be precisely monitored. The system's analytical power extends to objectively assessing a player's readiness to return to training after an injury.

The academy anticipates that the integration of these sports analytics tools will provide objective data, enabling the coaching staff to prepare young footballers according to international standards. This investment signifies a commitment to leveraging technology for improved player development and performance within the Kyrgyz football system.
