Foreign workers at construction site in Bishkek engage in brawl

A physical altercation erupted among foreign workers at a construction site in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The incident, which occurred in one of the workers' dormitories, was recorded and subsequently spread across social media platforms.

The Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs (GUVD) confirmed the conflict and initiated an investigation. Law enforcement officials traced the incident back to May 14. Following their review, the primary instigator, born in 1993, was apprehended and charged under Article 126 of the Code of Offenses for minor hooliganism. The individual was placed in a temporary detention facility.

Authorities also conducted a thorough check of the documents belonging to the foreign citizens involved and reviewed the operations of the construction company. No irregularities were discovered during these checks. The foreign workers were reminded of the country's legal regulations and the potential consequences of violations, including possible deportation from Kyrgyzstan.
