Former Can Tho Vice Chairman Appointed Deputy Head of City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department

Nguyen Thuc Hien, formerly the vice chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee, has been appointed as the deputy head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department. The decision was made by the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee.

The appointment was announced at a personnel meeting on June 17, chaired by Dong Van Thanh, a member of the Central Party Committee, permanent deputy secretary of the City Party Committee, and chairman of the City People's Council. The Can Tho City Party Committee's Organization Department revealed the decision to reassign and appoint new personnel.

Mr. Hien, a senior official from the Can Tho City People's Committee Office, previously served as a member of the City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and vice chairman of the City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. He will now hold the position of deputy head of the Internal Affairs Department for a five-year term.

Accepting the new role, Mr. Hien expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee. He committed to exercising his responsibilities, continuous learning, and fostering internal solidarity to successfully fulfill his duties within the Internal Affairs Department. Mr. Dong Van Thanh congratulated Mr. Hien, urging him to quickly adapt to his new responsibilities, grasp the functions of internal affairs work, and leverage his practical experience and proven capabilities. He also expressed hope that Mr. Hien would collaborate with the leadership of the Internal Affairs Department to advise the City Party Committee effectively in managing internal affairs, ensuring political security, social order, and safety, thereby contributing to the economic and social development of Can Tho City.
