Former Presidential Candidate Niko Tokić Kartelo and Nephew Join New RTL Show

Entrepreneur and former Croatian presidential candidate Niko Tokić Kartelo, 60, is set to embark on a new adventure alongside his nephew Ivan Tokić, 36, in the upcoming RTL reality show 'Asia Express: Zmajeva ruta' (Asia Express: Dragon's Route).

If I survive 6,000 kilometers on the Dragon's Route, that's probably a good sign that I'm ready for another presidential race.

The pair, described as an ambitious team blending politics, business, and family ties, will navigate a challenging 6,000-kilometer journey. Ivan views his uncle Niko as a mentor and role model, while Niko affectionately refers to Ivan as the "son I never had." Niko, who currently runs three companies and is involved in agriculture, has a personal history marked by determination, having risen from a childhood of poverty to a presidential candidacy.

"From a child who had nothing to eat and wear to a presidential candidate. I had nothing and created everything myself," Niko proudly stated, reflecting on his journey. He also humorously remarked that surviving the arduous race might be a sign he's ready for another presidential bid.

The uncle and nephew have already devised a strategy: Niko will handle logistics like transportation, food, and accommodation, while Ivan will focus on solving puzzles and games. Ivan, however, sees the race as an opportunity to prove his resilience and problem-solving skills, playfully questioning if the race is a "new campaign to promote traditional values in Asia."
