Former ViuTV Host Dies of Ovarian Cancer in Her Twenties

Hong Kong's entertainment scene is mourning the loss of Lillian Shi (Shi Keying), a former host for ViuTV, who died of ovarian cancer at a tragically young age. Shi, who was in her early twenties, passed away on June 21, with her family confirming the news through social media.

Shi had publicly shared her battle with ovarian cancer in May, revealing that a tumor had grown to an alarming 17 centimeters and had metastasized to her appendix. She underwent significant surgery, including a full hysterectomy and the creation of a stoma, in a bid to save her life.

Despite her courageous fight against the illness, Shi's condition deteriorated rapidly. She had recently expressed that her health was worsening and that further chemotherapy was not feasible. Her family's announcement conveyed their deep sorrow, remembering Shi for her consistently positive and optimistic approach to life and work. They noted that even while enduring immense physical pain, she maintained a positive outlook and drew strength from the support of her friends, family, and fans.
