Forum reviews plans aligned with Oman Vision 2040

The Development Planning Forum in Oman's Al Dakhiliyah Governorate is focusing on empowering local administrations to prepare development plans and projects. Participants are reviewing mechanisms to ensure these plans align with modern planning methodologies, in accordance with Oman Vision 2040 and the Eleventh Five-Year Development Plan.

This initiative is part of the Governorate's broader efforts to strengthen administrative decentralization and improve the efficiency of development planning at the wilayat (district) level. The forum, held over two days at the Recreation Centre in the Wilayat of Manah, was inaugurated by Sheikh Mahmoud Rashid Al Saadi, Wali of Nizwa and acting Governor of A’Dakhiliyah. The event underscores the Governorate's commitment to fostering institutional integration and standardizing development planning practices.

A key objective of the forum is to build the capacity of personnel specializing in planning and local development. This involves equipping them with modern planning tools and methodologies to effectively prepare development plans and propose viable projects.
