Four arrested after possible dispossession report in Tláhuac; two cell phones and a metal pot seized

Mexico City authorities arrested three men and one woman in the Tláhuac mayor's office after responding to a report of a possible property dispossession. The incident occurred on Juan de Dios Peza street in the Trabajadores de Gobierno neighborhood.

A 74-year-old woman alerted authorities, stating she observed two individuals damaging the locks on her property's main door. As two additional men arrived, they fled the scene in a white compact car upon noticing the police presence. Officers pursued the vehicle, intercepted it, and conducted a search. Inside, they found a backpack containing two cell phones, a hacksaw, a chisel, and a metal pot.

All four suspects, aged 18, 30, 39, and 41, were identified by the victim and detained. They were handed over to the Public Ministry, which will determine their legal status. The vehicle and the seized items were also placed under the consideration of the Public Ministry. Records indicate the 41-year-old detainee has a prior conviction from 2002 for illegal deprivation of liberty, specifically kidnapping, and an administrative offense for property damage.
