Four injured, including infant, in Taoyuan car-truck collision

An accident at the intersection of Bayu Road and Nanqing Road in Taoyuan's Luzhu District on Saturday afternoon resulted in injuries to four individuals. The collision involved a passenger car and a truck, with the car's occupants sustaining the brunt of the injuries.

Among the injured was a 10-month-old female infant, who suffered a laceration to her head and abrasions on her legs. Other injured parties included a 38-year-old woman complaining of back, shoulder, and chest pain, a 37-year-old man with back pain, and a 42-year-old woman reporting head pain. Fortunately, all four were conscious and received prompt medical attention, being transported to Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.

Emergency services, including fire and ambulance crews, responded swiftly to the scene to extricate the injured and provide immediate care. Preliminary investigations by the police suggest the car may have failed to yield the right-of-way while executing a left turn. The exact cause and responsibility for the accident are still under thorough investigation.
