Four killed in separate road accidents in Bangladesh

Four individuals lost their lives in road accidents across Bangladesh on Tuesday. In Kishoreganj, a collision between a cattle-laden pickup truck and a passenger bus on the Dhaka-Kishoreganj highway resulted in three fatalities and the deaths of seven cattle. The accident occurred around 3:15 PM when the bus, traveling from Dhaka to Kishoreganj, collided head-on with the pickup truck moving in the opposite direction. The deceased were identified as Billal Hossain, 35, Abu Said, 39, and Abdus Subhan, 39, all from Shibpur upazila in Narsingdi. Three other individuals, including the bus driver's assistant, sustained injuries. Police and firefighters responded to the scene, and legal proceedings are underway.

In a separate incident in Banshkhali, Chattogram, 25-year-old Md Jewel Rana died when the CNG-run auto-rickshaw he was traveling in crashed head-on with another auto-rickshaw. Rana, a local clothing trader, was on his way to his shop when the accident happened around 11:15 AM in the Daroga Bazar area. Police have seized both auto-rickshaws involved in the collision and are pursuing legal action.
