Four Soldiers Injured in Ammunition Explosion at Ukrainian Training Ground

An uncontrolled ammunition explosion at a military training ground in Ukraine's Khmelnytskyi region has resulted in injuries to four soldiers. The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) reported the incident, which occurred around 11:55 AM local time. The four injured servicemen have been hospitalized, and the extent of their injuries is currently being determined.

Due to the explosion, investigators are unable to safely inspect the site. However, SBI officers are actively interviewing the military unit's command and personnel, conducting other urgent investigative actions. The preliminary legal classification of the incident is a violation of the rules for handling weapons and materials that pose an increased danger to the environment, resulting in the injury of several people, under Article 414, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

This incident follows earlier reports of several explosions heard in Khmelnytskyi, which occurred without an air raid alert being declared at the time. The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine later confirmed an incident at a military unit's training ground in the Khmelnytskyi region, involving an explosion followed by secondary detonations.
