Framework law passed: Bahçeli's first statement

Turkey's parliament has passed a "Framework Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration." The legislation was approved in the General Assembly following a period of debate and consideration.

Immediately after the law's passage, Devlet Bahçeli, the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), met with Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş. Their discussion took place in the Advisory Board meeting room, located at the back of the General Assembly hall.

As Bahçeli departed the parliament, journalists inquired about the new law. He responded simply with "Hayırlı uğurlu olsun," which translates to "May it be auspicious" or "May it bring good fortune." MHP lawmakers escorted Bahçeli to his vehicle, with some reportedly kissing his hand as a sign of respect.

The "framework law" is presented as a measure to bolster national unity and social cohesion within Turkey. Its approval signifies a step towards implementing policies aimed at these objectives.
