Free Access for Athletics at Santo Domingo 2026 Games

Organizers of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026 have announced free access to the grandstands and East stands for athletics competitions at the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium. This move aims to boost public attendance for one of the Games' most popular disciplines.

While access is free, spectators must still obtain tickets through the UEPA Tickets platform. This ticketing system, even for free seats, is designed to control stadium capacity and maintain security for athletes, officials, and attendees. The West stands for athletics will continue to operate under the previously established paid ticketing scheme.

In addition to the athletics events, baseball games at the Olympic Stadium will also be free to attend. Similarly, the bleachers at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium will be open to the public without charge. Organizers reiterated that 85 percent of all events were initially planned to be free, reflecting a commitment to broad public participation. They urged attendees to support the athletes and adhere to the organizational guidelines for a safe and orderly experience.
