Free DNI Processing Available for Lima Residents on June 30

Residents of San Juan de Lurigancho in Lima, Peru, will have the opportunity to obtain their national identity documents for free on June 30. The initiative, a collaboration between the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec) and the local municipality, aims to provide essential services to priority populations.

The campaign is specifically designed for children aged 0-11, adolescents aged 12-16, adults over 60, and individuals with disabilities. Services offered include DNI renewals and updates to the registered address. Requirements vary by procedure; for renewals, a current or expired DNI is needed. Minors must be accompanied by a parent, and proof of kinship is required if a family member is assisting with the process.

Services will be available from 9:30 AM at the Mercado Vara de Oro, located on Avenida Gran Chimú. Due to limited capacity, interested individuals are advised to arrive early. Address updates require a recent utility bill to verify the new location. The campaign seeks to make these vital administrative processes more accessible to those who need them most.
