Free Food Distribution Continues Across North Texas This Week

Residents in North Texas will have access to free food and meals through a coordinated effort by the North Texas Food Bank and Catholic Charities Dallas. From May 25 to May 29, more than 70 distribution centers and mobile operations will provide food assistance across 12 counties.

The North Texas Food Bank reported distributing 116 million meals during fiscal year 2025, with its network reaching 12 counties. The organization offers a ZIP code search tool to help individuals locate nearby food pantries. Catholic Charities Dallas manages a network that includes permanent pantries, refrigerated trucks, and mobile distribution points serving nine counties within the Dallas diocese.

Several local organizations in Dallas, such as Dallas Life Foundation, The Stewpot, and Brother Bill’s South Dallas, are participating in the food distribution. These groups will offer hot meals, temporary shelter, community markets, and essential food items. Specific schedules and locations for various organizations, including the Salvation Army Dallas and Dallas Bethlehem Center, are provided for the week.
